The internet has become a pretty lame place to hang out over the years.
Whether its AI slop taking over ever social media platform, trackers following your every move, and the never-ending bombardment of ads for things you may have shown interest in 10 years ago (or not at all), it’s gotten more than a bit out of control.
There’s a discussion among web developers regarding whether or not the “Dead Internet Theory” is coming true. Traditional social networks seem to have become for-bots-by-bots, and it stinks.
Do you remember when the internet was fun? Do you remember when it was friendly? Can you remember when it was a place to get information easily, while maybe having a nice conversation, or maybe taking a recommendation from a neighbor?
We remember that too, and we miss it.
Our mission is to provide one place for Denville locals to shop, learn, discuss and go about our daily business without all the clutter.
An actual online “community”, if you will.
Yes, there will be ads, because the bills still need to get paid, but far less than what is found on every other platform on the web. No trackers. No “You may also like this” BS. No data selling. Simply a few local businesses trying to get their name and offerings out there.
Oh yeah, and they’ll actually be LOCAL ads from LOCAL, VERIFIED BUSINESSES.
No national politics, no global drama, no drama or neighbor vs. neighbor. Just Denville, our wonderful little town, pure and simple.
